Sunday’s Site – Antiquity Rose, Excelsior

NOTE: see the bottom of Sunday's Site posts for homes for sale in the area

My first visit to Excelsior's Antiquity Rose was over 20 years ago. We had recently moved to the Twin Cities, Eden Prairie to be exact, and were overwhelmed with the warm welcome… including having my neighbors introduce me to charming Excelsior on Lake Minnetonka with lunch at Antiquity Rose.

AntiquityRose1
Located in an old house just off Excelsior's Water Street and around the corner from Lake Minnetonka, it is an interesting blend of antique shop and tea room… open for lunch only, Monday through Saturday.

Antiquity Rose offers a leisurely escape to times past, specializing in home-made soups and salads. When we stopped by recently their Special of the Day was Spinach Cantaloupe Salad with Potato Ham or Taco soup.

It is the setting that makes this restaurant a memorable destination… a unique experience to dine among the antiques, then wander through the shops on Water Street, maybe take a boat ride on Lake Minnetonka… a great way to spend a leisurely day!
